Things forgotten.

That’s what catches my attention. Tent camping and a campfire. Looking for a lost arrowhead made from stone by a man of means. The easiness of sitting on the porch swing with my little girl. Experiencing the excitement from the daybreak gobble of an old Tom with my boy. The simplicity of an old country dirt road with large oaks lining the ditch rows.

I know many do not understand and wouldn’t want life any other way. Our ancestors came to this land and tamed the vast wilderness. Cities were built and we now live in a brick and mortar/concrete world. Running water and electricity is a must nowadays. Turn the knob, flip the switch. Run to town just to eat. Those are great and definitely makes daily life easier. Or, does it? Does the grocery store full of junk, that’s killing us, make it all that easier? I have my own opinion and it will probably not line up with yours. I don’t have time to garden so I eat some of that crap, too. The forgotten ways are something we could all learn from and find better in.

I suppose some of my ways, thinking, and what I enjoy may seem backwards or even silly to some. Point is, I am about the new, a better way, the time in which we all live. It is hard to deny any of it but non of which impresses me. Things forgotten, I find impressive.
